Alfa Laval Group Acquires Heat Exchanger Service Company in Brazil

Alfa Laval Group (Lund, Sweden) – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has acquired PHE Indústria e Comércio de Equipamentos Ltda in Brazil, a company that services plate heat exchangers in a variety of industries. The company, which had sales of about SEK 45 million in 2008 and some 35 employees, will be integrated into Tranter.

“With this acquisition we strengthen Tranter’s presence in Brazil, especially in the heat exchanger service area which supports new sales,” said Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. “Our multibrand strategy has been successful and Tranter continues to offer its own product range under the Tranter brand through its own distribution network.”

PHE Indústria e Comércio de Equipamentos Ltda has been immediately consolidated in the Alfa Laval Group.
