Alcoa Has New President, Primary Growth


Alcoa has announced that Jon Erik Reinhardsen has joined the company as President, Primary Growth. He succeeds Mike Baltzell who will retire on 1 September 2005.

Mr Reinhardsen most recently was Group Executive Vice President of the Norwegian based Aker Kvaerner ASA, an international contractor within the oil, gas, chemical and polymers industry.

"We are pleased to welcome Jon Erik to Alcoa," said Bernt Reitan, Executive Vice President, Alcoa and Group President, Global Primary Products. "His extensive international management experience along with his project and construction management expertise are key attributes as we continue to strengthen our asset base in the primary metals and alumina businesses."
