Showcase Sponsorship Guaranteed for Two Years

For the first time since its inception five years ago, the Showcase event for small ceramic manufacturers has secured guaranteed sponsorship for 2002 and 2003 - thanks to SRB6, the bid organisation distributing British Government funding to local organisations under the banner 'Making Stoke-on-Trent Work'. A total of 200,000 has been given by the fund towards both Showcase events and the promotion of small ceramic companies at other world-wide ceramic exhibitions.

"This funding from SRB6 gives us the opportunity to really promote Showcase 2002," said Sue Evans, Chief Executive of the Ceramic Industry Forum. "However, in return, we do need the same early response from intended exhibitors to enable everything to be put in place well before the end of the year."

An additional 20,000 of funding for Showcase 2002 is available from Advantage West Midlands who were the main sponsors of the 2001 event. "The support we already have in place is tremendous and will enable the organisers to continue the initial aim of Showcase - to give a platform in the City for small ceramic manufacturers to exhibit their products to the world's buyers and retailers. In addition, it will enable us to extend this aim to participate in international exhibitions for the first time," Sue Evans added.
