New Premises for Sacmi Moscow

Sacmi has doubled its efforts to meet the needs of Russian producers and 1 April 2002 duly saw the inauguration of the new Sacmi Moscow branch of the company. The ex-USSR market is growing fast and Sacmi says that it is, in the best possible way, preparing to make the most of coming opportunities.

Sacmi Moscow covers an area of some 300 square metres and deals with everything from the production of individual machines and complete turnkey plants to technology and engineering, catering to the every need of tile, sanitaryware and refractory producers throughout the Russian Federation.

The company stated that cutting edge IT allows rapid transfer of data and information plus direct processing of customers-requested plant layouts.

A new warehouse, where customers can purchase readily available customs-cleared spare parts with local currency, is soon to be opened. After that, a workshop for the production and overhaul of dies will be set up. Finally, new offices will house a Moscow-based branch of ITALIANSPED (a Sacmi Group company), which will be handling logistics, road, rail and sea transport from Italy to the Russian Federation.

The company added: "In short, Sacmi Moscow offers a comprehensive, concrete response to the growing needs of a market that has a tradition of quality ceramics and a skilled local workforce: to reach European manufacturing standards all that is needed is investment in modern machinery. Sacmi believes that the Russian Federation is more than capable of achieving that goal and has thus decided to focus its resources on conquering the leadership position in a market that offers excellent development prospects".

Michele Pulpito is the Sales and Operations of Sacmi Moscow which is located at: Efremova Str 14, 121048 Moscow, Russia.
