Russian Tile Plant Undergoes Extensive Modernisation

Zao Pkf Voronezhsky Keramicheskih Zadov (Voronezh, Russia), a long-standing player in the Russian ceramic industry, is implementing a technological/production modernisation of its plant.

At present, complete lines for the production of granito, single-fired glazed floor tiles and double-fired glazed wall tiles are being installed. Thanks to the innovation provided by supplier Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy), the stoneware and single-firing lines will achieve a total output of around 12,000 square metre per day.

The order for the new lines included discontinuous mills, spray dryers, presses, dryers, single-channel kilns, laboratories and know-how. Machines used on the stoneware line will allow the company to produce not only salt-and-pepper effect tiles but also streaked, full-body patterns.

Output capacity on the double-firing line will be approximately 12,000 square metres per day. This line will include presses, dryers, twin-channel kilns and sorting units.
