Rheology Seminars

Bohlin Instruments Ltd (Cirencester, Glos, England) says that in response to overwhelming demand for places on previous seminars, it will now hold further rheology seminars in Chester on 12 June 2002 and in York on 13 June 2002.

The purpose of these seminars is to introduce the basic concepts of industrial rheology and how they are used as predictive and QC measurement tools in formulation, processing and manufacturing. They will primarily be of interest to scientists, technicians and engineers who are working in quality control, research or technical services. Organised as a one-day course, the seminars include a series of lectures complemented by practical demonstrations, covering topics such as:

• Flow, yield stress, thixotropy, creep and oscillation.
• Capillary rheology.
• Dynamic mechanical analysis.

Bohlin says that there are a limited number of places and a swift response is necessary to gain a place.
