Customers can browse MAC’s online store to purchase any standard or non-standard size MACOR products. Inquiries for non-standard sizes can me made by sending an e-mail to ussales@morganadvancedceramics.com, and customers can also attach drawings to ensure that their specific requirements are met. For customers’ convenience, prices of all purchases made outside the USA will be automatically converted by the credit card company to local currency.
MACOR is a low-cost solution for difficult-to-machine applications. It is a white, ceramic-like material that is non-wetting, exhibits zero porosity and won't deform like ductile materials. Able to withstand high temperatures of up to 1000°C, it has a low thermal conductivity and is an excellent electrical insulator at high voltages and various frequencies. It holds tight tolerances up to 0.01mm and it can be easily machined into complicated shapes and precision parts with ordinary metal working tools. MACOR can also be bonded to other materials with epoxy to produce a strong joint.
