Trace Moisture Analyser for Industrial Applications

ABLE Instruments & Controls is launching the Hygrotec MMY170 system which provides both moisture and temperature measurements in both gases and liquids. The Hygrotec incorporates world-renowned General Eastern technology and said to be suitable for use in harsh industrial environments.

The Hygrotec MMY170 incorporates a transmitter and the field proven DY75 probe. A planar capacitive gold/aluminium oxide moisture sensor and an integral RTD temperature sensor provide the sensing technology. The temperature signal is used for compensation of the moisture reading as well as for the measurement of the process temperature.

The ABLE system is hazardous area approved and measures dew point temperatures from -100°C to +20°C with an accuracy and repeatability that claimed to be unsurpassed by other systems in its class. The analyser includes a four-digit LCD display and an analogue bar graph providing easy reference in the field. The transmitter features state-of-the-art electronics, which displays dew point temperature in °C, ppmv and optionally ppmw over a 0.01 to 9999 range.

ABLE has the system available in a number of configurations including 19" rack, panel and wall mount options. The rugged and flexible design of the Hygrotec 170 has allowed ABLE to produce a number of specialised configurations suited to the demands of specific industries including oil, gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and refrigeration.
