Asian Ceramics Magazine Sold

Bowhead Media Ltd (Cheam, Surrey, England) has acquired the two titles 'Asian Ceramics' and 'Asian Glass' from Metal Bulletin, publisher of these magazines since their inception and now a part of Euromoney (London, England).

Bowhead is a company specifically targeted at the provision of information for the ceramic and glass industries, meaning increased focus on these key sectors.

Under the continuing guiding hand of Andy Skillen – who has been editor of Asian Ceramics since the very first issue – Bowhead has promised to improve, expand and further enhance the content and style of the magazine.

There will be an expanded number of journalist contributions from across Asia, wider coverage, a range of new services and despite all this, a reduction in the subscription rates.

Some of the additional services being offered to the industry by Bowhead will include data provision, bespoke market research, on-line subscriptions and live news feeds, events and exhibitions.

The first issue under the transferred ownership and new independent status is being launched at the Indian Ceramics 2007 exhibition in Mumbai (11-13 April 2007). Looking forward to an invigorated and exciting future for the title, Andy Skillen commented: “This move is great news for the magazine and the industry. I am delighted to say that Asian Ceramics will continue to expand its presence as the industry's market leading magazine and the only provider of non-biased, objective market information on the tile, sanitaryware, tableware, refractory and ceramic raw material industries of the whole continent”.
