Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Accepted Into C-TPAT

Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corporation (Vancouver, WA, USA) announced on 16 April 2003 that it had been accepted by the US Customs Service as a certified member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) programme.

C-TPAT is a joint government-business initiative to give corporations an active role in the war against terrorism by building cooperative relationships that strengthen supply chain and border security.

As a certified member, KICC has demonstrated that it has met all C-TPAT supply chain security requirements and has committed to ensuring the ongoing integrity of its corporate security practices. Additionally, KICC will communicate its security guidelines to all business partners within its supply chain.

KICC has four manufacturing plants and 12 sales offices throughout the USA. The company manufactures advanced ceramic components and CERATIP cutting tools, as well as marketing LCDs, thermal printheads, fibre optic components and industrial lenses. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera International Inc (San Diego, CA, USA), the North American holding company for Kyocera Corporation.
