Kohler Products in Nepal – Good Sanitaryware Opportunities
Kantipur reports that Kohler Co has entered the Nepali market offering its stylish and innovative range of bathroom products at competitive prices for middle to high class Nepali consumers.
The company will distribute comprehensive rages of bathroom products including toilets, lavatories, faucets, bathtubs, whirlpools and showers through the Kohler exclusive showroom operated by Bajra and Bajracharya Enterprises at New Baneshwor, Bijuli Bazar.
Its first showroom in Nepal is the largest bathroom product showroom with over 5000 square feet where products are displayed with the most innovative and attractive fashion.
Sharad Mathur, Managing Director of Kohler India Corp Pvt Ltd, said that the company had decided to make a foray into Nepal having seen the high growth in the sanitaryware market. "The booming real estate industry and growing upscale consumer market present a big opportunity for Kohler," said Sharad Mathur addressing a press meet in the capital.
"Our products epitomise the company's mission of 'gracious living' and allow homeowners to express their individual styles and personalities," he added.
Mr Mathur said the company had signed a deal with Nepali housing developers Lifestyle Housing and Shangrila Housing. "We will be partnering with hotels and big premium housing developers to expand market in Nepal," he said. The products including some of the latest of Kohler's award winning products like the sok® overflowing bath, the Purist® Hatbox™ toilet, WaterTile™ shower sprays and Escale suite which will be available in the showroom at competitive prices.
The company has brought various products into Nepal including WCs (two-piece, one-piece, wall mount); lavatories (vessels, pedestal, self rimming, under counter, vanity-top, semi-recessed); faucets; baths; whirlpools and showers. The price ranges start from Rs 4,000 for lavatories, Rs 7,600 for toilets and go further up for high-end bath products.
