H C Starck Cooperates in Development of Future Energy Sources

Industrial Heating (www.industrialheating.com) reports that H C Starck (Goslar, Germany) is one of nine companies that have signed a letter of intent with the Government of Lower Saxony - based in Hanover in Germany - to cooperate in the field of fuel cell technology.

The Innovationszentrum GmbH in Hanover will coordinate this initiative of the Land of Lower Saxony, in which cooperation partners will work together to determine the economic and development potential and to devise commercialisation strategies for this form of energy production.

The initiative will promote new partnerships, a division of labour and more efficient work through networking and exchange of information. H C Starck, a producer of refractory metals and special ceramics, has been involved in the development of fuel cells since the end of the 1990s.
