President Appointed at Harper International
Harper International (Lancaster, NY, USA), a global provider of advanced thermal processing systems, has announced the appointment of Charles Miller to the position of President.
Mr Miller joined Harper in 1995 and has performed in progressive management positions, most recently as Vice President of International Business. He is a graduate of Alfred University, holds numerous US and international patents, served as New England Section Chair of The American Ceramic Society and Program Chair of Materials & Equipment Division of The American Ceramic Society.
Mr Miller has focused upon the creation of advanced thermal processing systems and techniques for the majority of his professional career. He is recognised as a major contributor in establishing Harper International as a premier international supplier of comprehensive systems for continuous thermal processing of materials.
His leadership has inspired the establishment of a significant installation base of systems, global sales and service network for Harper. These installations include the most technologically advanced and productive carbon fibre plants, solar materials systems, technical ceramic sintering and battery materials reactors.
The Board of Directors stated: “We are confident that the selection of Mr Miller as President assures the continued successful growth of Harper International. We look forward to leverage his knowledge and experience in the thermal processing industry. Harper International provides specialised continuous thermal processing systems and technical services essential for the production of carbon fibre, micron sized (oxide, carbide nitride and metallic) powders, silicon materials for solar applications, nanomaterials and high performance ceramics. Harper’s principal thermal processing systems are rotary calciners, pusher, dilute and packed bed vertical reactors, slot type carbonisation and related equipment. Harper has operations in Lancaster, NY, USA with sales and service in the USA, Asia and Europe.
