Grant Instruments Selected as Manufacturing Excellence Finalist

Grant Instruments (Cambridge) Ltd, a manufacturer of laboratory, data logging and data acquisition equipment, has been selected as a finalist in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers' (IMechE) prestigious Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2003. The awards are designed to encourage and reward high standards and innovative working practices in UK companies, while setting a benchmark for running a successful and competitive business.

John Ling, IMechE Technical Manager, said: "Grant Instruments (Cambridge) Ltd will be strong contenders in the Awards. We are now at a critical stage of the competition where the judges are visiting the finalist companies for validation of their working practices. I wish all the finalists the very best of luck".

Ludo Chapman, Managing Director of Grant Instruments, said: "We are delighted to be finalists in this leading competition. We have embarked on a massive programme of change and this is tremendous recognition for the efforts of the staff at Grant Instruments in helping to achieve our goals".

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at London's Dorchester Hotel on 25 June 2003.
