EPMA Announces New Co-Chairman of EUROMIM Group
The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that Dr Bruno Vicenzi of Italian based MIM producer Mimitalia Srl has agreed to become the Co-Chairman of the EUROMIM group, the representative body within EPMA for the Europe-wide MIM industry and its suppliers.
As founder/director of Mimitalia, Dr Vicenzi will help to further develop the activities of the group from an industrial perspective and one of the key actions that the group will be undertaking this year will be the development of an MIM industry specific proposal for funding under the EU 'Craft' programme.
Peter Brewin, Technical Director of EPMA, whose responsibilities include the association's technical committees and working groups, said: "This is a really positive development for EUROMIM and will help to take forward the good work already achieved by the group after the successful MIMNET programme and the subsequent introduction of ISO standard TC 119 for MIM products".
It is planned that the next 'open' meeting of the EUROMIM group will be held at the EuroPM 2003 Conference in Valencia, Spain in October where a special session on MIM is to be held.
