Energy Database ENTEC Available at Flat Rate

FIZ Karlsruhe's information service is now offering the energy database ENTEC on the web at an annual flat rate of 535 euro for industry and service enterprises, with a reduction to 500 euro for universities and colleges. ENTEC can be accessed via http://entec.fiz-karlsruhe.de or through the FIZ Karlsruhe homepage. A free demo database providing limited search results is also available.

Jointly produced by FIZ Karlsruhe and FIZ Technik (Frankfurt, Germany), ENTEC contains, among other things, information on fossil sources of energy, nuclear energy, energy fusion and renewable energy sources. Further subjects covered by ENTEC are research and application matters as well as energy policy and energy management. At present, the data pool comprises approximately 650,000 citations. Every year approximately 20,000 new documents are added.

FIZ says that ENTEC features a powerful search software with a user friendly interface allowing a well directed search for information also to those unfamiliar with search techniques.

The search can be conducted either by using a quick search mask or an expert search mask offering a vast number of search criteria. As a first search result, the database provides a list of titles which then lead to abstracts with bibliographical data.
