E.I.Tec / CeramicForum obtain fluoride scrubbing contract at Vandersanden

Three smoke-gas scrubbing systems including crushing plants will be installed at the different Vandersanden face-brick factories. E.I.Tec. GmbH with their Commercial partner CeramicForum, were awarded this turn-key project based on the technical confidence the Vandersanden management has in the E.I.Tec. GmbH technology.

The 3 Fluoride scrubbers will be of the "cascade" type, each differently dimensioned and a specific crushing plant, to crush the waste reagent. The particular process enables Vandersanden to reintroduce their inert waste in their own clay body, avoiding expensive disposal costs.

E.I.Tec. Engineering & construction company is a leader in the technology for scrubbing smoke-gasses, reducing fluoride, sulphur, CO and dust, etc. within the strictest emission standards applied in U.K., U.S.A., Germany, France and BeNeLux countries. E.I.Tec. offers a range of dry to semi-dry, and wet scrubbing systems as well as thermal regenerative reactors to after-burn the impurities.

"Our experience in the municipal waste sector has helped us to understand the Belgian clays, which can have extremely high sulphur content and we have just the right solution to ensure an economical & reliable process." stated Mr. Wolfrum, one of the owners of E.I.Tec GmbH. Whereas Mr. Wijnbelt of CeramicForum added: "We understand the long term needs of the ceramic industry very well, environmental protection laws are becoming stricter and active participation in such a clean-up program can be turned into an advantage for the manufacturers of fine ceramics and heavy clay products. Each clay, factory, management and country is different and E.I.Tec's flexible, innovative design and construction allows adaptations for each application, which in turn gives budgetary advantages.

Our entry into the ceramic market started two years ago via CeramicForum Sarl. (F) Since then markets have expanded rapidly into the Netherlands, Belgium and France, and is expected to grow worldwide within the next few years.
