Dankotuwa Porcelain Clinches Order from Corelle®
World Kitchen Inc has commissioned the leading Sri Lankan ceramic manufacturer Dankotuwa Porcelain Ltd to manufacture porcelain products for the Corelle Brand. CorningWare®, Pyrex®, Corelle®, Revere®, EKCO®, Baker’s Secret®, Magnalite®, Chicago Cutlery® and OLFA® are all brands under World Kitchen, which has manufacturing facilities in USA, Canada and Asia Pacific regions.
Dankotuwa was selected for its superior whiteness and body quality which the company says is considered to be amongst the best in the world. Dankotuwa has already commenced production for WKI and is preparing to make its first shipment at the end of this month.
Dankotuwa said that it was extremely pleased to have this opportunity of working with such a prestigious brand name and pleased that its strategy of producing a high quality world-class body is gradually paying off. With the increased competition with the low end of the market, Dankotuwa has been gradually moving towards the upper end and it feels its quality is now recognised as one of the finest in the world. Recently, a representative from WKI visited the factory and was impressed with the production facilities and quality assurance systems.
