ASCER reports continued investment in additional manufacturing facilities
and improved technologies for ceramic tile production in Castellón,
where
98% of Spain's ceramic tile is still produced.
Cerámicas Gomez has introduced new applications to its glazing line
and
recently modified its production line to make 15cm x 15cm and 50cm x 50cm
glazed porcelain tiles.
Installing a new kiln and bringing a latest generation production line
on-stream has enabled Cristal Cerámicas to add two new formats to its
wall
and floor tile ranges: 31cm x 45cm and 45cm x 45cm, respectively. The
company is based in Onda and has created a huge range of new models
characterised by innovative design, high definition and excellent quality.
Azulejos Plaza, which was founded in Alcora in 1962, will start producing
glazed porcelain at its new factory as from this month. The company
recently received ISO 14000 certification for its environmental management
system.
The Cerámicas Azahar/Incea group is set to modernise its facilities.
The
investment will be directed at diversifying the group's output and
increasing the design elements of its product range by using the latest
production and design techniques. The group has two manufacturing plants,
located in Alcora and San Juan de Moró.
Gayafores plans this year to extend its production facility and increase
the number of formats in which its current product lines are available. The
company, which can trace its origins back to the old ceramic factories of
the turn of the last century in Onda, also intends to install a new software
programme that will improve internal processes and enable it to communicate
with its clients more often and more efficiently.
Todagres in Villarreal is investing over 8.4 million euro in increasing
its production capacity from 12,000 square metres per day to 25,000 square
metres per day. The enhancement will include two new presses for porcelain,
a polisher, two kilns and a raw materials loading station. Todagres
produces tiles, pressed stoneware floor tiles and porcelain stoneware.
