8th BAUCON ASIA
The 8th BAUCON ASIA takes place from 20-22 September 2005 in Singapore. This International Trade Fair for Building Materials, Building Technology & Services and Construction Machinery is being organised jointly by MMI-Munich International Trade Fairs Singapore and IMAG-Internationaler Messe- und Austellungsdienst, the international arm of the Messe Muenchen Group.
BAUCON ASIA is said to be now well established as the sector's leading international trade fair and most important event of its type in the ASEAN region.
The high level of international participation is a hallmark of BAUCON ASIA and claimed to be a significant competitive advantage over other comparable events. A large number of European companies use BAUCON ASIA as a platform to gain a foothold in the Asian market. Conversely, exhibitors from Singapore and the whole of Asia can present their products and services here to an international audience.
The exhibition covers the needs encountered at all stages of the building process, including building materials and the successful development of this fair is due in no small part to Singapore's close integration in the global economy and to its strong competitiveness. The Singaporean economy has good growth prospects, which for 2005 are put at 5%. Throughout 2004 the economy there remained dynamic, supported by strong investment and export activity. Visitors to the exhibition are expected from the ASEAN nations as well as from Korea, Taiwan, India, Australia and Japan.
