The A to Z of Materials, Launches "AskAZoM"
Natural Language Materials Information Search Tool and Online Expert System

AZoM.com Pty. Ltd. (www.azom.com)announces the official launch of the "AskAZoM" search tool.

Based on the latest knowledge management software tools and following 2 years of development, "AskAZoM" allows engineers and designers to find answers to their material problems by asking questions in their own words.

Typical questions "AskAZoM" answers are:
"How does titanium perform in chloride environments"
"I need a scratch resistant paint"
"Give me advice on free machining stainless steels"

Dr. Ian Birkby, CEO of AZoM.com believes the "AskAZoM" search tool will make a significant impact on how materials information is disseminated and on how materials are marketed. "We are very excited by the power of the "AskAZoM" tool. For the first time ever, the users of materials have available a tool which performs like their favourite supplier expert but is available 24 hours a day, every day, at zero cost".

"Where material suppliers have provided us with information on their materials, "AskAZoM" is there to answer the questions their customers are
asking".

AZoM.com is currently working with several major material manufacturers, research organisations and trade bodies to help them extract the maximum advantage from their materials application data and case histories. Dr.Birkby explains, "To date, every material organisation we have talked to has immediately recognized the benefits "AskAZoM" can provide to their business by acting as an automated front line sales person."
