ACerS and USACA Sign Agreement
The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and The United States Advanced Ceramics Association (USACA) have signed a cooperative agreement to share information, collaborate in public affairs activities and seek projects that will jointly benefit each organisation. The agreement runs from now through to 30 April 2006, at which point the organisations will assess the value of the collaboration.
ACerS and USACA said that they wanted to reach out to industries and government organisations that have an interest in advanced ceramics and that this collaboration would enhance each body's activities and effectiveness. The focus of the collaboration will be to:
- Share relevant information with each other and the memberships.
- Cooperate in public and government affairs activities directed to educating the public and legislators on the importance of ceramic materials.
- Seek opportunities to develop joint projects in areas that achieve the common interests of both organisations.
