ACerS Meeting 2001


A whole host of advancements in ceramic and allied technology will be discussed in the many symposia to be held at the 103rd Annual Meeting & Exposition of the American Ceramic Society to be held from 22-25 April 2001. This meeting marks the fifth time that the Society has held this event at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN, USA. With an expected attendance of more than 2,500 people from approximately 25 countries, the meeting and expo is the largest ceramics event in the USA. It will feature more than 1,300 technical papers presented in 16 symposia, eight division programmes and other forums.

Among the notable symposia are:

  • Ceramics for Wireless Technologies
  • Materials for Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage
  • Ceramic Science and Technology for the Nuclear Industry
  • Materials for Medicine and Biotechnology
  • Synthesis and Processing of Nanostructured Materials

    The Annual Exposition, held in conjunction with the Meeting, will host more than 120 international and domestic companies in the ceramics and related materials industry. These companies will display a wide range of products, including: raw materials/minerals; furnaces; processing equipment; ceramic components; glass and optical products; glazes; manufacturing equipment; analytical instruments etc.
