The scope can be restricted to internal operations or extended to encompass the entire supply chain (‘cradle to gate’); providing a detailed account of exactly where carbon emissions are generated. Independent verification of a carbon footprint can be provided through CICS, part of The Ceram Group - CICS are one of only four verification bodies in the UK accredited to verify against the PAS 2050 Standard by UKAS.
